Hello, parents! I remember so clearly the first days of motherhood even though is was over 21 years ago. There was so much joy and love! Parenthood has been the best job in the world. I’m Heather, the postpartum doula of Dragonfly Postpartum Care. As your doula, I will provide compassionate support to your family. I remember the days of sleep deprivation and would love to help you get some extra sleep, a shower, or make you a meal. I live in Southern Maine with my husband, our two daughters, an energetic chocolate lab, and two cozy cats. Some of the activities I enjoy are: spending time with family and friends, hiking, walking our dog, breathing the ocean air and drinking coffee. My passion for nurturing families and providing emotional, physical, and practical support comes from my experience with postpartum depression and not having enough support in those early weeks. Having a doula would have changed so much!
